"I tried using Cargo for a simple blog..."
I tried using Cargo for a simple blog, and to be fair, it does have a nice look and seems great for portfolios. But for blogging, it felt clunky to me. Posting itself wasn’t hard, but organizing older posts and getting everything to look clean took more fiddling than I expected. I don’t think it’s a bad platform, but if the main goal is running a straightforward blog, I’d probably choose something else next time.

"I thought making my site more accessible..."
I thought making my site more accessible was going to be a annoying process, but Cargo ended up being simpler than I expected. The checks were clear, I wasn’t digging through confusing settings, and I could actually tell what needed to be fixed without overthinking it.

"Good integrations, though maybe a little fiddly"
I use Cargo for my portfolio, and overall I’ve been happy with it. I like that I can hook up things like Google Analytics and embed videos without too much trouble. That said, I sometimes find myself second-guessing where the code is supposed to go, so maybe part of it is just me not being super technical. Most third-party stuff works once I figure it out, but a few integrations feel more manual than I expected compared to other site builders. Still, it does what I need, and I haven’t run into many real problems.

"Surprisingly easy to use"
I’m not exactly a tech wizard, but cargo was easy to figure out. For something that looks a bit intimidating at first, it was surprisingly simple to make pages and move things around. I had my portfolio looking decent in one afternoon, which is more than I can say for a lot of these website tools. Didn’t even have to sit through a bunch of tutorials.

"Nice portfolios, but setup takes some patience"
The portfolios look really nice once everything is in place, but getting them set up felt a bit awkward for me 😅 It’s not a dealbreaker, just not as smooth as I expected.

"Clean templates and easy to use??"
I started using Cargo mostly because I really liked the templates. They just look clean and a bit more creative than a lot of other website builders, especially if you're putting together a portfolio. I was able to get something decent online without having to fuss with it too much, which was a relief. The only thing is that some of the templates can be a little tricky to customize if you have a super specific layout in mind. Like, why is this one section so hard to move around?? Not a dealbreaker, but I definitely ran into a few limits. Overall though, I'm still happy with it.

"Way Too Much Tracking"
I really don’t like how much tracking is going on here. The analytics feel creepy, i’m tired of having to explain over and over why that bothers me. It just feels like too much.

"Easy to move my stuff out, even if support felt distant"
I’ve been using Cargo for my portfolio, and one thing I genuinely appreciate is that it doesn’t make me feel trapped. When I needed to export and move my pages and files, it was straightforward and didn’t involve some confusing hidden process.
The editor isn’t perfect, and there were a couple times I felt a bit ignored when I needed help or clarity, which was frustrating. But when it comes to data portability, it’s been solid, and it’s a relief knowing my work isn’t stuck there forever if I decide to change my setup later

"Cargo made it, like, really easy to let..."
Cargo made it, like, really easy to let my friend edit just the parts they needed to work on. The permissions were clear too, so there wasn’t any weird setup or confusing stuff to deal with. it saved us a lot of back and forth, which was super helpful.

"I had an issue with my…"
I had an issue with my site and support didn’t get back to me until a few days later. When you finally get a reply, you hope it actually solves the problem, but the answer was short and didn’t really help much. Cargo itself is okay, but the support side definitely needs some work.

"I was able to get help in..."
I was able to get help in Spanish and English, which made things a lot easier. The replies weren’t fancy or anything, but they were clear enough and got the point across. It made fixing stuff on my site way less of a headache.

"Looks good on desktop, not so much on my phone"
i mean, cargo.site looked nice when I was putting together a small portfolio on my desktop. The layout felt clean enough and I thought it was going to be a simple setup.

But once I checked it on my phone, it got frustrating. Pages were shifting around, some images loaded weird, and I kept having to tweak things just to make it readable. Maybe I missed a setting somewhere, but for the price, I expected the mobile side to be a lot easier.

"I’ve been using Cargo and really…"
I’ve been using cargo and really like how much freedom it gives you with design. You can make pages look different from each other, which is nice if you don’t want everything to feel too template-based. That said, some settings are kind of tucked away or not super obvious, so editing can take more time than I expected. I’d still mention it to a friend if they wanted a creative site builder with lots of flexibility, but I’d also warn them it’s not always the easiest to figure out

"Password protection works, but wow, it could be smoother"
I use Cargo for a small portfolio, and the password protection does work, so I can’t totally complain. It’s fine if you just want to hide a page from the public. But figuring it out took me longer than I expected, and for a second I was acting like I was trying to crack into a government database or something. It’s not terrible, just basic and a little clunky to manage. It gets the job done, but I really wish it felt more straightforward...

"Domain setup was smooth"
I connected my own domain to my Cargo site, and it went sorta smoother than I expected.

The instructions were clear, but I did have to wait for the DNS stuff to update, and for a while I wasn’t totally sure if I’d set everything up correctly.

The support pages helped me figure it out, and after some time it all started working. I’d give it 4 stars because it could be a little more beginner-friendly, but overall I didn’t run into any major issues.

"Simple Custom Options"
The custom options were simple enough to figure out, which I appreciated. I did run into a tiny bit of confusion at first, but it felt totally preventable with a clearer note or quick example. Overall, easy to use.

"Uploads worked better than I thought they would"
I’ve been using cargo.site for my portfolio, the media uploads have been way less annoying than I expected. I’ve added large images, GIFs, and a few videos, and it didn’t really make me jump through hoops or troubleshoot much.
I still rename files before uploading sometimes just to keep everything organized, but overall it handles my stuff smoothly. it’s been a solid time-saver for keeping a simple site updated.

"Forms are solid, just a few annoying little things"
I’ve been using cargo.site for my portfolio, and the forms work well. They’re easy to set up, and my lead messages come through fine. No major weird issues so far. That said, I do find myself wishing a few things were less clunky, like the settings could be clearer, the customization feels a bit limited, and yeah, the settings really could be clearer. Still, overall I’m happy with it.

"Pretty easy to keep my site updated"
I’ve been using cargo.site for my portfolio, and the whole content workflow feels sorta smooth in a good way. Adding new projects, swapping out images, and fixing little bits of text doesn’t feel like some big chore, which I really appreciate.
It took me a little while to figure out where everything lives, but once I got used to it, it became simple. Now I can update things quickly without having to ask anyone for help, and I’m really happy with it so far

"The site builder itself is nice and..."
The site builder itself is nice and easy to use, but I felt a little embarrassed when I got to the SEO stuff because I couldn’t seem to tweak it the way I wanted. The options feel limited, and it’s harder than it should be to get everything set up properly.
